Cartier Watch (vintage), similar HERE
Hi and welcome to my first blog post! I am really excited to begin this creative project and I hope that others will enjoy it too. The primary focus of this blog will center on style and beauty.
Like anyone else, my closet has evolved and continues to change (as do my makeup choices). I do, however, believe that there is value in building a wardrobe around classic pieces. I personally start with the basics, such as a white button down or a well fitting pair of jeans, and add items from there. You can change your look in an instant with a variety of accessories. This is particularly helpful if you have a limited budget.
For example, you can take that white button down and those jeans and wear them throughout the year but change your bag, shoes, and jewelry to reflect the season. Slip on a pair of leopard print shoes and then switch them out when something else goes down the runway!
There is also something to be said for investing in timeless pieces like the Hermes Birkin Bag or a Burberry Trench Coat. Some things never go out of style . . . pick the right item and the value may increase exponentially. Ten years ago the Chanel Classic Flap Bag cost a couple thousand dollars less than it does today.
Don’t feel like you have to buy designer though! There are plenty of high quality options on the market that are influenced by designer pieces. You really can get the look for less.
Check in with me frequently to see how I create outfits and we can evolve and grow together!
Special thanks to my husband, Scott, and his unwavering support. I truly married the best man!
